Fuss around energy efficient fluorescent light bulbs (CFL) …
If the reduction of electricity consumption announced with the use of the new energy efficient light bulbs (fluorescent lamp types) appears positive for the planet, questions are raised over its influence on mankind, if we consider the waves emitted by these bulbs.
In order to reach these energy savings, new CFL bulbs use a ballast, located at the base of the bulb and is at the origin of radio frequency radiations, for which the Afsset (French Agency for Public health, for the Environment and Work), recommends, since October 15th 2009, to reduce the exposures to 1V/m
Identical recommendations had been put forward by the European Parliament, at the conclusion of the Tamino report, in1999.
And it’s almost by chance that the CRIIREM (Research Centre for Independent Information on Electromagnetic radiations) discovered that the CFL fluorescent bulbs were able to reach 300 V/m when lit, to decrease to values ranging from 180 V/m to 60 V/m in a radius of 20 cm, minutes after. It’s necessary to move one meter away from the bulb to get values of 0,2 V/m, which corresponds to the ambient radio electric background noise. (CRIIREM Source)
It would be thus contraindicated, according to the Afsset and the European Parliament recommendations, to remain less than 50 cm away from a fluorescent bulb.
… To biotechnological innovation
Abel Franco has been specialized in electromagnetic waves phase shifting at 180° , for more than 10 years and has adapted its world patent to the use of CFL fluorescent bulbs.
Developed at the origin for mobile telephony, the printed circuits containing the phase shifting antennas, can now be screwed on the bulb base to compensate its radiation.
